Library Survey 2023/24

Overall, 80% of Library users are satisfied or very satisfied.  11% are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. 6% are dissatisfied and 3% are very dissatisfied.
Interesting Facts:  The three most used words to describe the Library are: Busy Quiet Helpful  There were 1,048 respondents  62% of respondents were female  The former Berkeley is the most used library.
5 things the Library does well are: Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Click and Collect service. Helping readers to succeed. Has the right resources for study/research. Online guides and tutorials.
Where can the Library improve?  Accessing support when using services online. Availability and findability of study space. More group study rooms. Make it easier to access e resources. Dedicated computer study spaces.

A big thanks to all students and staff who took The ‘Library Life Pulse’! The Library survey takes place every two years, and your views help us to better understand your needs and develop responsive services and supports for the future.

From 20 November – 10 December 2023 we received 1,048 responses. That’s about a 5% response rate and we’re satisfied that we’ve received input from cohorts across the university. This survey has given us so much valuable data & over coming months we will be teasing out some of the main themes through further user experience research including focus groups and workshops.
