All contemporary libraries remain open to current Trinity students and staff in the present period. Due to ongoing campus restrictions on foot of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) encampment, external readers will not be able to access the libraries until further notice.

For Trinity staff and students, summer opening hours apply for the Lecky, Ussher, Hamilton and former Berkeley libraries which open from 9.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday and 9.30pm-1pm on Saturday. The John Stearne Medical Library remains open 9am-10pm up until the first week of June. The 1937 Postgraduate Reading Room and Kinsella Hall will be open 24 hours.

When coming on campus to access the Library, Trinity staff and students should note the following:

  • Access to campus is by the following three gates which will be open for pedestrian access and in the case of Lincoln Place Gate vehicular access as well:

  • All other gates including Nassau Street and the CRANN gate on Pearse Street will remain closed.
  • There will be restricted access to the Arts Building and entrance to the Lecky Library is via the main Library (former Berkeley Library) entrance.

The Interim Research Collections Study Centre which is now in the basement of the Ussher Library is by appointment only for Trinity staff and students at this time.
